Sunday Mornings

Our Sunday morning classes meet throughout the year.  Classes begin at either 8:30 or  9am so please refer to the descriptions below. Those attending are encouraged to bring their Bible.

Child care is not available during class times but is during our 10am Worship Service.

BEFORE AMEN is a 4 session class from best-selling author Max Lucado. It takes us on a journey to the very heart of biblical prayer, offering hope for doubts and confidence even for prayer wimps. Distilling prayers in the Bible down to one pocket-sized prayer, this class reminds us that prayer is not a privilege for the pious nor the art of a chosen few. Prayer is simply a heartfelt  conversation between God and you - His child.

This class begins on Sunday, Sept. 3rd at 8:30am and runs through September 24th, and will be taught by Joan Bistry.  You can register for the class today by clicking the "NEED MORE INFORMATION" link below or see Pastor Joe at the church.

  • Young Adults Bible Study and Small Group

Audrey Murdie is leading a study for senior high school / college age  young adults.  This small group meets at 9am.

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd John

Amanda Collins will be teaching on the books of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John in our Bible Study track.

1 John calls us back to the three basics of the Christian life: true doctrine, obedient living, and faithful devotion.

The focus of 2 John is living in God’s love according to the truth of Jesus Christ.

And The theme of 3 John is faithfulness despite - opposition.

This class begins on October 1st at 9am.

  • You Make Me Crazy

We all have relationships that drive us crazy. Whether it’s a boyfriend or girlfriend, spouse, sibling, parent, co-worker, or crazy relative you see once a year at Thanksgiving, a crazy-maker can really make life difficult.

This 6-week video track study from Rick Warren and taught by our own Joan Bistry will help bring sanity to your relationships so you can do more than just coexist. Learn how to connect with the crazy-makers in your life through these six sessions:

    • How to Be Wise in Relationships
    • Who s Pushing Your Buttons?
    • How to Resolve Conflict
    • Breaking Free From Abuse
    • Escaping the People-Pleaser Trap
    • Keeping the Crazy-Makers From Making You Crazy

This class begins October 1st at 9am.

  • Starting Point

When it comes to learning about faith, sometimes you don't need a class; you need a conversation - especially when it's all new to you. You don't want to feel pressured to make a decision, you don't want to feel judged for your questions, you don't want to be lectured about theology, you just want to talk.

Starting Point is an accepting, conversational environment where people learn about God’s story and their places in it. Starting Point helps participants explore the Bible and begin to understand key truths of the Christian faith.

Carefully refined to enhance community, the interactive sessions of Starting Point encourage honest exploration of God, faith and life. This class will be facilitated by our own Don Momper and will meet Sunday mornings at 9am starting October 1st.
